A Visual Biography
Here I am! I adore polka dots, nostalgia, and strong, firm hugs. I believe in love, finding the beauty in everything, and that you can never own too many pencils.
When I draw my goal is to create meaningful, vibrant pieces that represent the full spectrum of human emotions that come from my own experiences, or from the stories of others.
Life is weird and painful, but so amazing and beautiful at the same time. I draw for joy. I draw for sorrow. I draw for healing.

Take it from the beginning...
The story goes - according to my mom - that at age two I filled a paper with small smiley faces.

I loved drawing from the very start.
These were the unicorn, hearts, and rainbow years. Part of my heart is still back here.

And it's okay to be jealous of that side ponytail.
We can't leave out the awkward years.

Nor can we skip past the high school years. I was getting pretty good at realism. (No, that's not a boyfriend - as some have asked - just a drawing from art class.)
At age 21, I became a mom. I fell in love with my daughter and motherhood. I was in awe of the way my heart expanded, giving me all the more reason to draw from my soul; always looking for the beauty and magic in everything.

My older sister and brother went off to school. I did not mind staying behind. I had the house to myself and could color, draw, and watch Sesame Street.

My heart was very content.
